Android Example
An Android example app for the Infoplaza Platform APIs is in development. It will live alongside the other examples in our public examples repository.

What it will cover
The Android example will show the same ground the other examples cover, applied to a native app:
- Calling the Geo, Weather, Marine and Mobility APIs from Kotlin
- Keeping your API key out of the app package
- Decoding the response envelope the endpoints answer in
- Rendering forecasts, maps and transit data in a native interface
In the meantime
The Platform is a plain REST API, so nothing stops you from using it from Android today — the endpoints, parameters and responses are the same ones documented throughout these docs. Two starting points:
- Authentication and Responses explain how requests are authorized and what comes back.
- The Next.js example is fully working and shows, per API, which endpoints to call and how to combine them. The API log next to every example shows the exact requests it made, which translates directly to any other language.
For weather conditions in your interface, the weather icon sets are available as vector files that work well on Android.
